The customer selection list includes all company records (Data & functions > Companies) that have a Company type: View as setting of “Retailer or distributor“.
If company record is not displayed in the Customer dropdown list, the “View as” setting for selected customers can be specified via the Actions > Modify command.
The customer criteria is limited to a single customer. Multiple variants of a customer name require a royalty rule for each variant.
Customer Criteria Alternative
An alternative to the customer criteria is the “Sales type” applies to criteria. Each customer (company) can be assigned a default sales type. If variants of a customer name are assigned a common sales type a single royalty rule can apply to all variants.

- Open a Data & functions > Companies > Company record and select the Activities tab
- Select the Sales menu
- Specify a Default sales type
