EasyRoyalties 4.8.9 adds support for Amazon’s updated KDP Prior Month’s Royalties format. With this import format users can import the eBook or Paperback sales worksheets without creating a custom import map. A popup box prompts the user for any exchange rates.
The import process will scan the file for foreign currency sales entries and prompt the user to enter the exchange rates.
When importing the KDP eBook worksheet you can reference the Vendor product ID, ISBN or the SKU as the product identifier.
When importing the Paperback worksheet you can reference the Vendor product ID, ISBN or SKU as the product identifier. Most publishers reference the ISBN.
The paperback worksheet import allows the user to select between 1) importing the KDP royalty amount as the total sale amount or 2) the KDP Royalties plus KDP manufacturing costs as the total sale amount.
Publishers that always base POD ( print on demand ) royalties on the royalty amount; after manufacturing costs are deducted, should select option 1.
Publishers that pay some or all POD ( print on demand ) royalties on the sales before manufacturing costs are deducted will select option 2. This option will show sales as royalty plus the manufacturing cost. Manufacturing costs will be shown as Cost of Sales. The Gross margin will be the Amazon royalty amount.
|Sale Amount =
|Sale Amount =
Royalty + Manufacturing
|Cost of sales||$0||$150|
The Gross Margin is the same for both methods.
